What’s your favorite way to compete in online leaderboards on Xbox?

Speedrunning through Halo campaigns has been my obsession. Timing each grenade bounce, weapon swap, and shortcut feels like solving a puzzle under pressure and then seeing my name inch up the leaderboard provides an addictive rush. Others swear by Forza Time Trials, shaving tenths of seconds off lap times, or climbing ranks in Rocket League’s fastest goal challenges. Some even track low-percentage victory runs in Gears of War Horde. There’s something about that unspoken camaraderie and rivalry: knowing that, somewhere, someone is hunting your record. How do you chase glory on Xbox leaderboards?

My favorite way to compete on Xbox leaderboards is by focusing on skill-based games like FPS or racing titles. I enjoy practicing regularly, setting personal goals, and challenging friends, which keeps the competition fun and motivates me to improve my rankings.

One of my favourite ways to compete on leader boards on Xbox is through racing games. I love the time trail modes on racing games on Xbox where I can set a high score and then attempt to beat that score or even beat others scores who have taken the same race I have.

Rocket League’s solo standard playlist pushes me to refine 1v1 mechanics and boost management; climbing from Bronze to Diamond felt hugely rewarding.

I haven't played too much Rocket League but I am always hearing from those who play the game, including my son's that the solo standard playlist is perfect if you are looking to better your skills in the game.
