How do you feel about the creative mini-games and side activities found in many Nintendo titles?

From “Luigi’s Mansion’s” Polterpup maze challenges to “Super Mario Odyssey’s” snapshot tours, these diversions often outshine main quests. They serve as palate cleansers, letting you flex different skills - puzzle-solving, rhythm timing, or even photography. They stretch developer creativity beyond the core gameplay loop, rewarding exploration in novel ways. Plus, they foster social sharing: showing friends a sleek motorcycle trick in “Breath of the Wild” or trading custom courses in “Mario Maker.” These bite-sized experiences keep worlds feeling alive. Which Nintendo mini-game had you hooked longer than the main storyline?

I really enjoy Nintendo’s creative mini-games and side activities. They add variety, fun, and replayability, often sparking new interests. These features make the overall experience richer, offering relaxing breaks and encouraging players to explore different aspects of the game world.

Nintendo have always I feel, killed it with the mini-games and side-activities they offer in games. I don't think I have ever been disappointed with any games in which side-quests and activities were a thing.

I love how a lot of the side quests and activities always keep you hooked in Nintendo games and keep you wanting to play.

Mini-games are often the highlight of Nintendo titles because they showcase pure creativity without the constraints of main story progression, letting developers experiment with wild ideas that wouldn't work elsewhere.
