killamch89 Posted May 24, 2025 Posted May 24, 2025 Do mobile-only esports leagues deserve the same respect as PC/console leagues? Games like Clash Royale, Mobile Legends, and Wild Rift have massive audiences and professional circuits. How do factors like platform limitations, in-game monetization, or device fragmentation impact legitimacy? Are mobile titles more accessible and inclusive, or do they dilute competitive integrity?
Scorpion Posted May 26, 2025 Posted May 26, 2025 I think mobile-only esports leagues are a great way to increase accessibility and reach a wider audience. They level the playing field, allowing more players to compete regardless of hardware, and help promote competitive gaming in regions where high-end PCs or consoles aren’t available.
Shortie Posted May 29, 2025 Posted May 29, 2025 I don't see any reason as to why mobile-only esports can't thrive just like console and PC esports does. When I think about the amount of players there are on mobile who play competitively, it could bring a big audience who are interested in those games and seeing the competitive side to those games.
killamch89 Posted June 2, 2025 Author Posted June 2, 2025 I'm skeptical about precision and depth compared to PC/console esports - touch controls and smaller screens seem limiting for the highest levels of competitive play, though the skill ceiling keeps rising.
