The SNES hosted a surprising array of fighters like Street Fighter II Turbo, Mortal Kombat II, King of the Monsters 2. Which one holds up best today, whether for speed, depth, or pure nostalgia?

The first fighting game I ever played was Street Fighter II. However, when I managed to get Mortal Kombat, I loved the brutality.

But to answer the question, despite my personal feelings, I would have to give it to Mortal Kombat. It's hard to find anything related to Tekken, Street Fighter II, Killer Instinct, or Primal Rage anymore. Yet you see Mortal Kombat titles all over the place. So there's no denying that it holds up to this day.
