Thoughts on HEREDITARY?

Just saw it on bluray. Very well shot and eerie horror flick with a taut atmosphere and good acting. Unfortunately, I found the tone a little too heavy and the pacing a little too slow for my tastes. Still, a good horror movie but I can’t help but feel it’s a touch overrated (89 on RT for example). 

Anyone else seen it? What’re your thoughts on it?

No. I haven't seen it but it sounds like an interesting movie by the way you put it. On the scary movie scale, where does it rank compared to movies like SAW?

Imo SAW is a superior horror flick. I think HEREDITARY is possibly more artistic and poetic mind you. SAW, however, is super satisfying with great twists and a terrific yet simple story. I think SAW is a much more influential horror movie. Both are very good.
