Why Everyone Will Know About VR in 5 Years

Recommended Posts

If you’re on the internet, you’ve definitely heard about VR (Virtual Reality). Look, the concept isn’t exactly new — but we’re really only starting to find real-world uses for it now . So what is VR? Virtual reality is an artificial environment, created by software and presented to people in such a way that the person engaging with the simulation suspends belief and starts to accept the VR world as a real environment, even though they technically know that it’s not.

VR has really only been around for a short period of time, and we’re already seeing hundreds of different ways that technology can be harnessed and put to good use. So, why is it that everyone will know about VR in 5 years? It’s already a revolutionary tool that can change the face of how we engage as a society.

How VR is Making Itself Known in Broader Society

Up until recently, our experience of the internet has basically been limited to the two-dimensional realm. Sure, we can move our phones around while we watch things on our screens, but that’s about the closest we’ve come to a real tactile-internet experience. Virtual reality is about to change that.

While the concept for VR has been around for a long time, it’s only been in the last couple of years that VR has actually hit the mainstream. Ordinary people can buy the Oculus Rift or Samsung Gear VR headsets, and experience VR on a level that was unheard of only 5 years ago.

So, if the VR world has changed so much in the last 5 years, where will it be in the next few years?

With more than 5.13 billion smartphone users, and 3.2 billion internet users, we are already living in a digital society. Still, for most of us, our access to online resources is limited to what we see in front of us. VR is going to change that. Virtual reality will change the way we shop, surf, and experience the internet.

VR is going to come to affect how we engage in daily life — everything from school assignments to military training to art and even to social media

There are also use cases for virtual reality in social media. For example, Stan World is a social media platform built on AI, VR and Blockchain tech. It allows users to engage with celebrities and influencers in VR, even attend concerts of their favorite musicians with their friends. It’s a community-lead ecosystem and works to compensate creators and users for their engagement in the community. Stan World is showing us what the social media of the future will be like, and it’s far more immersive and intuitive than the social media we know today.

So, why is it that everyone will know about VR in 5 years? They won’t really have much of a choice! VR is going to transform how we engage in basically every aspect of our lives, in many ways making things easier. VR is the future, and now’s not the time to get stuck in the past.

VR: The Future

It’s abundantly clear that VR is going to permeate and shape our society over the next few years. VR can help us in so many ways, from social media platforms like Stan World, to VR gaming platforms, and military training. We know that the reason why everyone will know about VR in 5 years is because they’ll most likely be engaging with the tech themselves! It’s becoming more and more accessible, and as it does, more use cases are popping up. Connect with your friends and favorite creators in VR at www.stan.world.
