According to an article on GameRant, a modder known as Shironeko Labs on YouTube, posted a video showcasing ray tracing on the SNES. All of which is being done by a chip according to the article. Imagine this being done for games like Donkey Kong Country, Super Mario World, or something like FZero. You can check the video below.
