You can see concept art for the character here - Twisted Voxel He looks more like a glam rocker from the 80s. And I also got a Nicholas Cage vibe from a few of the looks. I think the big reason they included Keanu, was to increase sales. Which is fine, I don't mind them having an famous actor. Do you like any of the original looks? Or do you prefer how he looks now? That being said, I did like his original design though and maybe they could've incorporated him as a character into the game somehow. Maybe a DLC - who knows?
