I'd much rather that 5 years of a wonderful relationship than a lifetime of hell. Why would you want to stay in a toxic relationship for the rest of your life? Which would you pick and why?

All things considered, hypothetically and what I'm currently having to deal with, I would take the 5 years option.

Agreed - 5 Years of peace is worth infinitely more than a lifetime of hell.
