I think some developers still produce and distribute physical copies of video games but you don't have quite a huge number of them available now, in subsequent times digital copies would completely take over the video game industry.

The thing with digital copies is that it can be easily moved via the Internet unlike physical copies that would need some level of physical movement. This is one thing that is very important to know.
