StaceyPowers Posted June 22, 2024 Posted June 22, 2024 I’ve been doing a casual text RP with a friend one-on-one lately, and it’s been remarkably easy for us to keep coming up with stuff to do. It made me think back to my old days playing MUDs where for some reason, it was so hard to “make our own fun” when the admins weren’t running world events. It made me wonder why it was so difficult for me back then. What are other peoples’ experiences with this, particularly in MMOs?
Scorpion Posted October 4, 2024 Posted October 4, 2024 I find casual RPs with friends much easier too! MMOs often feel limiting without events, but creativity thrives in smaller settings.
killamch89 Posted October 4, 2024 Posted October 4, 2024 In Eden Eternal, I once hosted a dance-off between guilds while doing some recruitment for my guild. It was absolutely epic! And we got tons of recruits that day.
GameOn Posted October 5, 2024 Posted October 5, 2024 I find that games with rich lore and detailed worlds make it a lot easier. The MUDs and text RPs encourage lots of imagination, whereas MMOs often rely on structured content.
Button Posted October 5, 2024 Posted October 5, 2024 The Games that provide flexible gameplay systems and player-driven narrative tools empower me to create my own experiences.
Lens Posted October 8, 2024 Posted October 8, 2024 When I collaborate with other players and share idea, it's easier to create my own fun. This makes the game very immersive.
