Knight Barida Posted June 26, 2024 Posted June 26, 2024 Swapping mobile phones is a common practice here. You can swap your old version of a device for a new one while paying a certain amount of money. Do you do that kind of thing?
killamch89 Posted July 9, 2024 Posted July 9, 2024 I've done it in the past and it'd be my preferred choice because you can offload a functional used phone while picking up a brand new one at a discounted price. Seems like a win-win situation to me.
Shortie Posted July 17, 2024 Posted July 17, 2024 This is something that is possible to do over here, we call it getting a phone on contract, paying a monthly fee and upgrading the phone after a year or two. I haven't jumped and got a phone on contract but if I had the money and knew I could afford to keep the monthly payments going, it would be something I would consider.
Cpvr Posted August 5, 2024 Posted August 5, 2024 If I need a new phone, I’ll do it since it’ll make my new phone a lot cheaper. I haven’t done it since I upgraded from my iPhone 8 to the iPhone 13.

I had a Note20 Ultra that I loved but it just had to go but I might trade my phone for Pixel 7 or 8 Pro.
Bizdustry Posted September 9, 2024 Posted September 9, 2024 It’s not common practice here. Unless you upgrade to a new phone on the same contract, but even if you do that you’ll be liable to pay the full amount. Usually in instalments and at 0% APR over 24 months for example.

That really sounds like a horrible deal. That wouldn't happen to be the UK by any chance?
