StaceyPowers Posted July 11, 2024 Posted July 11, 2024 What are some video games you’ve played that you felt had something beautiful to say?
Lens Posted July 12, 2024 Posted July 12, 2024 Wow! This is a very interesting thread. I’d say Life is Strange is a game that really resonated with me. This game deals with some heavy themes and they’re just mind blowing. The themes like depression, suicide, and identity are all embedded.
Scorpion Posted October 2, 2024 Posted October 2, 2024 I think *Journey* beautifully captures connection and self-discovery through its stunning visuals and minimal dialogue..
GameOn Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 I have some of them in my mind. They are Life is Strange, What Remains of Edith Finch, Firewatch are games that tell very powerful narratives about identity, family, and connection.
killamch89 Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 I’d say Outer Wilds. It’s a game about curiosity, learning, and the inevitability of change. It doesn’t just present these ideas as a narrative, but builds them into how you play and explore the world. I found its message about impermanence both humbling and beautiful.
