Heatman Posted August 30, 2024 Posted August 30, 2024 David De Gea have been over a year without a club. Last night, he made 8 saves with 6 of them inside the box, a penalty save in the shootout for his new club Fiorentina. He also won MOTM as his team progressed in the Conference League qualification stage.
killamch89 Posted August 30, 2024 Posted August 30, 2024 We all know he's great at shot stopping but modern football also demands goalkeepers who are great on the ball as well. Glad to see him doing bits in a top five league again.
Knight Barida Posted September 12, 2024 Posted September 12, 2024 Manchester United made the biggest mistake by letting him go. He is such a good shot stopper that letting him go was a wrong choice as far as I am concerned. Heatman 1

Yes, he's an excellent shot stopper but modern football requires goalkeepers to be good with the ball at their feet. Man United should've gone for a keeper who was good at both like Sommer who's currently at Inter Milan.

I hope Onana keeps improving because if doesn't, I will be so pained with them letting De Gea go.
