Whether it was for something major like a community event, a personal achievement, or even just a quirky story, I'd love to hear about your experiences. For me, I was in the newspaper for finishing 4th in the Spelling Bee as a kid. I was also in the newspaper for winning a couple of Martial Arts tournaments also as a kid.

When I was in boot camp out in California, my picture was in the paper. A bunch of teachers came out on some kind of tour. Since a lot of them were from my area at home, I was called to speak with them over chow. When I was in scouts my whole den got our picture in the paper. Selling cookies always sucked because I wanted to just eat them all. killamch89 1

I mean we did get some but that was like way after everyone had their share.
