Kane99 Posted November 19, 2024 Posted November 19, 2024 Source - https://mp1st.com/news/report-back-4-blood-2-in-development-with-codename-gobi-2 Turtle Rock Studios is working on a sequel to Back 4 Blood, the spiritual success to Left 4 Dead. The codename for the new project is "Gobi 2". It seems one of the actor/stuntmen Jesse Hutch, who is involved in Back 4 Blood is also involved in this "Gobi 2" project. It is said he did motion capture for B4B, and likely is doing similar work on this project. And the big icing on the cake, is that the original games codename was "Gobi". So if we're going off of that, I'd assume "Gobi 2" will be B4B2. Do you think there is a need for a sequel though? I feel like with this one, they could easily keep updating it and improving upon it. But then again I don't remember if B4B had good sales. So maybe a sequel is a good idea, idk. What do you guys think?
killamch89 Posted November 19, 2024 Posted November 19, 2024 Personally, I never thought it was a bad game per say but it wasn't that - what's the word - unique. The experience felt like something I've done in hundreds of games prior and the story wasn't anything to write home about. We'll see how this spiritual successor does though.
Scorpion Posted January 16, 2025 Posted January 16, 2025 Exciting news about "Gobi 2"! A sequel could enhance the experience, but ongoing updates for Back 4 Blood might also suffice. Curious about sales impact!
