Would you prefer playing VR games in a large social group or solo? Why?

When it comes to VR gaming, do you enjoy the immersion of being in a large social group, sharing the experience with friends or strangers, or do you prefer the solitude and focus of playing solo? Which offers a better experience for you and why? Does VR’s immersion shine more when you're alone or when you're with others?

I find VR to be immersive enough that I don't feel the need to want to play with a group of friends, playing alone when I do I find enough and I enjoy my time playing on the VR.

My youngest son does have a group of friends he knows, friends from school and from our neighbourhood who he plays with and he enjoys playing in a group when they are online.

Both have merits. Large social groups offer shared experiences and laughter. Solo play allows for deep immersion and focus on narrative or skill development. It depends on the game and my mood.

I strongly prefer solo VR experiences because they create a level of immersion impossible in group settings. When playing with others physically present, I remain constantly aware of them watching, breaking the sense of presence. Additionally, the vulnerability of being blindfolded in a room of people introduces social anxiety that prevents me from fully committing to movement-heavy experiences.
