We had groundbreaking titles like The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Half-Life, Metal Gear Solid, and StarCraft. It felt like the industry took a massive leap in quality and innovation that year. Worst year? Maybe 2014, when a lot of hyped games (Assassin's Creed Unity, Watch Dogs) launched with major issues.
