Kennysplash Posted January 31, 2025 Posted January 31, 2025 I find it cool, it is something I see myself doing it I get the opportunity. I’ll just lock in on my favorite games and make good bucks. Do you think you can be a full time gamer and make cool money from it? Have you ever thought about it?
Scorpion Posted January 31, 2025 Posted January 31, 2025 I think it's definitely possible to turn gaming into a career, but it takes a lot of dedication and hard work. With the right skills and opportunities, it's not just a dream, but a reality.
The Blackangel Posted February 1, 2025 Posted February 1, 2025 Being payed to game is the dream of every gamer. If I could get paid for playing RDR2, or Zelda OoT, I would be on them every waking hour. But as @Scorpion said, it takes a lot of hard work and dedication. Which is something that even us as gamers most likely don’t realize just how much of that it truly takes. So while it’s a dream, that’s probably where it should stay. I can see burnout being a very real problem.

I agree, one of the only viable ways of becoming a "professional gamer" these days is to become either a streamer or a youtuber, both require a ton of dedication and hard work. And even if you put in all that work, it still requires a ton of luck to break through and actually become successful enough to make a living from it. I also believe that making a hobby your full time job is a very effective way of draining all of the joy and passion out of said hobby.
