Knight Barida Posted March 25, 2025 Posted March 25, 2025 I play music and sometimes walk around when it is time to have a break at work. I believe that it is not bad at all considering the fact that taking your mind away from work during the day could be a major boost for productivity.
killamch89 Posted May 16, 2025 Author Posted May 16, 2025 I schedule breaks proactively rather than reactively - they go into my calendar as non-negotiable appointments with myself. This prevents the common trap of 'I'll break when I finish this task' that inevitably extends into hours of continuous work and diminishing returns.
Shortie Posted May 27, 2025 Posted May 27, 2025 I have always been terrible at ensuring that I take regular breaks. I work from home and it can be so easy to get yourself focused and busy, that you can forget to get up and take regular breaks which are essential, no matter what line of work you are in. I now find that setting an alarm on my phone for a set time and sticking to that alarm and taking a break of around 15 minutes or half an hour, even an hour for lunch has helped me.
