GameOn Posted March 26, 2025 Posted March 26, 2025 I did buy a game via crypto the other day. And it was very smooth! I have used Bitcoin to buy a game on Steam, and it seemed just as fast and easy. It was an indie game, so that felt really good to be able to help directly fund the developers. Have you bought any games using cryptocurrency?
Scorpion Posted March 26, 2025 Posted March 26, 2025 I haven’t bought any games with cryptocurrency yet, but I find the idea intriguing. It could transform how we purchase and trade games. I’m curious to see how more developers incorporate crypto payments into their platforms in the future!
Heatman Posted March 27, 2025 Posted March 27, 2025 Even though I'm someone who support the use of cryptocurrency, I haven't been able to pay for a video game that I want to purchase with it yet. But don't fret it, I will definitely do that one day.

There are going to be more game developers that would have the cryptocurrency payment options available and they have the confidence because the fear of volatility is gone with how they setup their structure. So, if it is possible, try to make a purchase of any game using the cryptocurrency as a payment means.
killamch89 Posted March 31, 2025 Posted March 31, 2025 I bought a few Steam keys through third-party marketplaces that accept cryptocurrency. The main advantage was privacy - not having to share credit card details with less established stores. The process was surprisingly straightforward once I had a wallet set up.
