Are games getting lazy with graphics optimization?

Do you believe that some games are becoming complacent when it comes to graphics optimization? How do you think this trend affects gameplay and player experience? Are there specific titles you feel exemplify this issue, or do you think it's a broader industry problem that needs addressing?

I've noticed a concerning trend where PC ports are treated as afterthoughts rather than dedicated products. Games like Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and The Last of Us Part I launched with inexcusable optimization issues despite their massive budgets. It feels like publishers are relying on post-launch patches rather than proper QA testing.

This is something I have mentioned so many times over to others. I don't mind PC ports of games but it is true when you say that they are treated as afterthoughts. It is usually a quick way to get them on PC and then anything else gets forgotten not realizing, gamers will see the time they did not dedicate and that it was more about getting the game out there on that platform over anything else.
