Scorpion Posted April 19, 2025 Posted April 19, 2025 Do you believe video game prices are becoming too steep for consumers? What factors do you think contribute to rising costs, such as development expenses or marketing? Share your thoughts on whether the value justifies the price tag and how this pricing trend impacts accessibility and enjoyment for gamers today.
killamch89 Posted April 22, 2025 Posted April 22, 2025 Yes, but I think the problem isn't the upfront pric- it's the value proposition. Too many $70 games launch broken, incomplete, or stuffed with microtransactions. I'm happy to pay premium prices for premium experiences, but publishers want premium prices for mediocre products.
Shortie Posted April 29, 2025 Posted April 29, 2025 With the way video games are released today, some either fully working and others broken, full of bugs and even severe issues, I do feel that video game prices are quite steep. I can understand the developers wanting to make money but over the years, video games have sky rocketed to prices that are in some cases, unaffordable for some, and for those who are able to purchase them, there are many times when they feel let down or are not happy with the finished product.
Bizdustry Posted May 4, 2025 Posted May 4, 2025 Not necessarily the video games. But what makes video games more expensive nowadays is the in app purchases and microphone that the companies introduce. I believe the cost should be in the game, and not have to pay more than what has already been paid for

So, they have no need to make those kind of changes that we are expecting them to do.
Ja sa bong Posted May 5, 2025 Posted May 5, 2025 The games which one is trying to purchase is what determines if it's costly or not. If one is going for AAA games, they are usually very expensive now.
