What game have you learned a lot from?

Recommended Posts

Playing Runescape helped me learn how to type, and later on, it also gave me a basic understanding of economics, particularly when it comes to supply chains.

Spec Ops: The Line fundamentally changed my understanding of military shooter narratives by systematically deconstructing power fantasies I'd unquestioningly consumed for years. Its deliberate subversion of player expectations and growing disconnect between heroic framing and horrific consequences forced me to confront my complicity in virtual violence in ways that transferred to more critical consumption of all war-centered media.

Oddly enough, Stardew Valley taught me patience, resource management, and the value of community building. Its farming cycles showed me how small daily efforts compound over time. Chess developed my strategic thinking, while Civilization educated me about historical technologies and governance. Games can be surprisingly profound learning experiences when we recognize their underlying lessons.

For me that will be fallout. The has taught me that small actions can have significant consequences.

What game has taught you great life lessons?

I have to agree with you on Fallout. This game is great on teaching a lot when it comes to not only survival but also as you mentioned, teaches that small actions can have big consequences and that everything should be thought out before taking any action.
