killamch89 Posted May 11, 2025 Posted May 11, 2025 With thousands of new mobile titles dropping every month, what’s your vetting process? Do you scroll curated lists, watch YouTube previews, ask friends, or dive into App Store charts? How heavily do reviews, microtransaction models, or initial loading times factor into your first impression? Do you install multiple contenders and play just a minute or two before deciding, or do you go all-in?
Scorpion Posted May 12, 2025 Posted May 12, 2025 I decide which new mobile game to try based on reviews, ratings, and recommendations from friends. I also look at gameplay videos and features that interest me. Choosing games that match my preferences helps ensure I enjoy the experience.
killamch89 Posted May 14, 2025 Author Posted May 14, 2025 My decision matrix includes checking the monetization model first. I immediately skip games with multiple currencies, energy systems, or loot boxes. Then I investigate the developer's history: have they maintained their previous games or abandoned them? Finally, I read the most critical 3-star reviews for balanced perspectives.
Shortie Posted May 15, 2025 Posted May 15, 2025 I usually go by reviews when it comes to trying new mobile games. I have found that I have played many more games on mobile than I would have done had I have not listened to reviews and just skipped past them. One mobile game that I don't think I would have played if I didn't check out reviews and also listen to others who played would have been Monopoly Go.
