What game defined your childhood or teenage years?

As a gamer myself, I have played so many different games over the years, some of which I would never feel like I wasted my time on and some that if I could go back, I would probably play another game over that one.

As a gamer yourself, what game defined your childhood or teenage years? Why was it this game?

Ocarina of Time fundamentally changed how I viewed games. I was ten when it released, and exploring Hyrule for the first time felt like genuine adventure. The day/night cycle and transformation from child to adult Link made the world feel alive in ways nothing had before. I still remember the awe of emerging onto Hyrule Field for the first time.

For me, “The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time” defined my childhood. Its immersive world, memorable characters, and epic adventures sparked my imagination and love for gaming, leaving a lasting impression that still influences how I see games today.

For myself, there are a few games that defined my childhood years and they are

Yoshi's Island - This game is one that I spent many hours on, either on my own or with my brothers and my mum.

Alex The Kidd - This game was played and many memories were made with my cousin who helped my brothers and I with the rock, paper, scissors mini game.
