Kane99 Posted May 20, 2025 Posted May 20, 2025 Manifest Destiny is a new game from GouHong Studio that puts you in the shoe of the developer instead of the player, where you enter your own game to solve puzzles with your programming skills. It's an action adventure RPG that's in the style of 8bit/16bit graphics. It's currently out on PC via steam. Game can be found here- https://store.steampowered.com/app/2611410/Manifest_Destiny/
Shortie Posted May 25, 2025 Posted May 25, 2025 I am loving the 8bit/16bit graphics on this game, it is a shame that more games do not use these graphics even in some parts of their games. Brings back a lot of memories for sure. This is the first time I am hearing about this game but it is a game I would like to look into.
Scorpion Posted May 26, 2025 Posted May 26, 2025 What a brilliant meta concept! Playing as the developer fixing your own broken game from the inside sounds like every programmer's nightmare turned into entertainment. The retro pixel art style perfectly matches the indie dev theme. I'm curious how they balance actual programming logic with accessible puzzle design. This could be educational for aspiring game developers while being genuinely fun for everyone else.
