Shadow Labyrinth combines Pac-Man with a metroidvania style of game. It's releasing July 18th for PC (Steam), PS5, Xbox Series X|S and the Switch. Check out the trailer below. Is this something you can see playing? I think I'd give it a shot.

It's just based on that "Secret Level" show that's all.
killamch89 Posted June 2, 2025 Posted June 2, 2025 Pac-Man like is understatement. Almost Pac Man clone with a few added elements is more like it - it doesn't seem like something very creative in my opinion.

Taking Pac-Man's maze concept and turning it into a Metroidvania is such a creative spin—imagine collecting power pellets that unlock new abilities and backtracking through interconnected mazes. The July 18th release can't come soon enough! I'm genuinely curious how they'll handle progression and exploration while keeping that classic Pac-Man DNA intact. Definitely giving this a shot!
