Anyone else think Skyrim could use a sequel?

Does anyone long for a Skyrim sequel? I don’t just mean another ES game, I mean a Skyrim sequel specifically.

I feel like that game set up a compelling situation politically, where the Imperials and Stormcloaks are divided and at war, but it’s the Thalmor and the Aldmeri Dominion that stand to benefit. You can negotiate a truce in the game, but it didn’t feel satisfying to me. I feel like there’s room for a whole other game about the Imperials and Stormcloaks needing to actually contend with their true enemy.

The issue I see is that it might seem “boring” to set another game in the same location. Perhaps the game could take place partly in the Aldmeri Dominion.

Elder Scrolls VI is technically in development, but Bethesda's focus on Starfield and Fallout has left fans waiting over a decade. At this point, I'd rather see a proper sequel than another Skyrim re-release or expansion.

I kinda figured they might abandon the Skyrim plot altogether though and just do an unrelated story in the ES universe.

It's based in Hammerfell so it'll likely be more about the Redguards, Orcs and Bretons in that region since those three races are the most dominant in that area.

Absolutely! Skyrim’s universe is so rich; a sequel could expand on its story and worlds beautifully. It’d be exciting to see new adventures, improved graphics, and fresh gameplay mechanics. I’d love to explore that universe again with modern technology!
