Jerlene Posted November 9, 2018 Posted November 9, 2018 What do you think of criminals claiming insanity to avoid prison? More so, what do you think of juries and judges that allow rule in their favour when it comes to them claiming insanity?
killamch89 Posted December 27, 2018 Posted December 27, 2018 I believe they should be thoroughly evaluated before such a claim can have any substance. I have noticed in quite a few court cases in the United States, the person that is claiming mental illness planned such a methodical crime yet the jury and judge accepts their plea of insanity. I believe majority of them use it as a way to escape jail time and to not be held accountable for their actions. Reality vs Adventure 1
Alyxx Posted December 28, 2018 Posted December 28, 2018 If their crime was committed with clear intent, I call bullshit...

An insane person cannot even do the basics properly such as taking care of their own hygiene, behave orderly and other stuff like that...

It is a very great defense to get away with a crime and this is someone who has law knowledge and a degree.
