Source - https://www.ign.com/articles/forget-switch-2-nintendo-just-released-a-100-interactive-alarm-clock-called-alarmo This is actually kind of cool, Nintendo is releasing a $100 alarm clock called Alarmo that will release in early 2025. But, if you're a Nintendo Switch Online user in the US and Canada, you can purchase it right now on the Nintendo Shop. But it'll probably go fast, it's already sold out in Japan to where they have to do a lottery to pick the next set of buyers. You can buy it here - https://www.nintendo.com/us/store/products/nintendo-sound-clock-alarmo-121311/ Is this something you plan to buy? It reminds me of when they released the new Game and watch handhelds recently, the ones that worked like a clock too. This is hands down way cooler imo. What do you think about it?

If you guys know, the new Until Dawn remake just dropped on the 4th, and ever since Sony has decided to remove the original version that dropped for the PS4. It's alleged that in some regions the original version of Until Dawn is not available for purchase, meaning people are forced to pay for the new remake in order to experience it. Fans seem mixed on the new game too, some dealing with bugs, glitches and other problems. I've watched a comparison video of the original and the remake played together and it doesn't look all that much better. Sure the character models look awesome, but the environment and locations all look dark and boring in comparison to the original game. Colors look muted and lifeless. I honestly think the original looked better. What do you think though of studios releasing a remake and then removing the original game from purchase? Especially when the original was much cheaper and doesn't look all that much different. You can read more on this news here: https://www.videogamer.com/news/playstation-removes-og-until-dawn-from-sale/ What are your views on this? It reminds me of when Rockstar removed the original GTA games (III, Vice City, San Andreas) from marketplaces after they released the horrible GTA trilogy remaster. I think Sony owes it to fans to put the original version back up for sale.

Source - https://mp1st.com/news/wb-games-montreal-working-on-new-aaa-game-set-in-the-dc-universe It's being said that WB Games Montreal is working on a new AAA game in the DC Universe. I guess some job listings revealed the details that a game was in the works, but there is no details about what the game could be. I doubt it'll be a Batman game, but maybe we'll get something new, maybe a Flash game, or some other DC character. I hope it's not something like Superman or something. What do you think it could be? Though, it's by the same team that did Gotham Knights, so it might be a sequel to that for all we know.

Got some cool news to share, the developers of Alien: Isolation have announced that a sequel is in the works as we speak, it's currently in early development. The announcement was made on Twitter, and you can view it below. https://twitter.com/AlienIsolation/status/1843305291322200488 This was announced on the 10th anniversary of the game. Crazy to think it's been 10 years already.

Oh boy, Ubisoft is not having a good year. From their failing sales, layoffs and more. This time it's alleged that Ubisoft has been sharing personal data of Ubisoft users to Facebook Meta. This of course was not disclosed to users I guess and so the reasoning for this lawsuit. Two gamers who were subscribed to Ubisoft+ brought the lawsuit forward because they had no idea their info was being shared after a purchase. What happened was, they downloaded one game while they were logged into Facebook, and according to them, it shared their personal info to Meta through Pixel's tracking feature. So yeah, not a good look by Ubisoft. But it makes you wonder how much other info is shared between companies like this. You can read more about this here: https://mp1st.com/news/ubisoft-facing-lawsuit-over-allegations-online-store-ubisoft-shared-customer-info-with-meta

It's finally happening. Red Dead Redemption is finally getting an official PC release coming October 29th. This is a great late birthday present for me, as I've been hoping for a PC release forever now. Not only that, but it'll also come with Undead Nightmare, which should be an obvious choice anyway. But yeah, I am super happy it's happening. Are you going to pick it up? Read more about this news here - https://techraptor.net/gaming/news/red-dead-redemption-pc-release-date

Night Slashers, the popular beat 'em up from the early 90s is getting a remake. It dropped late last month for the PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Series X. I imagine it could come out for the Switch, but I didn't see a Switch release. Who here has played this game? I guess it was in the arcades back in the day, sadly I never played it. But I'm tempted to check out the remake.

I didn't know this, but there might be an Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag remake coming soon. I guess it was teased not too long ago about a possible AC remake, and it seems Black Flag is getting the nod. And the cool thing is, it looks like it could be coming out sooner than we thought. I think the big reason why is due to Ubisoft's game Skull and Bones being an utter failure. Maybe they felt going back to Black Flag for the pirate adventures would be a good route to take. Check out the article below for more details on this. It sounds like we might get it in November of 2025. So a little over a year if so. Not bad. https://insider-gaming.com/black-flag-remake-release-date/

Selfloss is a new emotional exploration/adventure game from the people at Goodwin Games. It came out early September for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam and Epic Games. It looks like an interesting game, who here has played it? Who wants to play it?

Source - https://insider-gaming.com/star-citizen-developer-cloud-imperium-games/ Ah great, pushing crunch on your employees to get ready for an event. Cloud Imperium Games recently sent out an email to their staff requiring their employees to work 7 days of work a week to meet a deadline before the Citizencon event happening October 19th. The email stated that staff needed to double down the next 18 days in order get a patch done including a showcase for a demo. I get having to work overtime, but to be pushed to work 7 days a week until your game is done seems like crunch to me. They should learn to schedule their work time better so that crunch isn't needed. An event planned out like this, shouldn't require a couple weeks of crunch to meet a deadline. What do you guys think of this? Will the studio back down on this and go back to a 5 day work week?

Little Big Adventure: Twinsen's Quest is a remake of the popular 1994 game Little Big Adventure. The game is being developed by Ben Limare of [2.21]. He is a big fan of the original game and was tasked with the helping produce the remastered version. Has anyone played that game? This is honestly the first I have ever heard of it. The game will release on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Series X|S, Switch and PC November 14th. There will also be a limited edition physical release coming out for the PS5 and Switch on December 5th.

This game looks interesting, it's said to be a retro style horror game from the team at 13th Street. I definitely get Silent Hill vibes from the trailer, especially with the style of music. Check out the trailer below. It looks to be coming out for PC, but there's no release date at this time.

This needed to happen in the states, no worldwide, because once the PS5 pro 30th anniversary console went on pre-order, people scooped up the orders fast. If you look at eBay right now, you'll see a ton of people listing the console for a lot. But, it looks like Japan is taking a stab at stopping scalpers, by implementing conditions that you have to meet in order to get a pre-order in. Those are; Gamers must have a PSN account registered in Japan, and have at least 30 hours of PS4 or PS5 run time on the account between February 2014 and September 19, 2024. I saw this exact idea suggested in a reddit comment recently, and I don't know why they didn't do it for the states or other countries. If they had implemented a system like this, it would have stopped a lot of the scalpers, because lets face it, most of these scalpers probably don't even game, or if they do, I doubt they have multiple accounts they can use for this. My question, is why are they doing this specifically for Japan only? I figure this would have gone a lone way in the US, especially to stop the scalper problem. Nintendo has a war against emulation and emulators it seems, as they are actively now going after YouTubers who have shown off their games being emulated. One YouTuber in particular was issued a strike against his channel after Nintendo issues a copyright strike on him. This YouTuber, Retro Game Corps makes video reviews on handhelds that have the ability to emulate some games. RGC has stated he may file a counter-claim on it, but he isn't sure on doing that since Nintendo is well known for using their money to squash cases. In the meantime, RGC has no intention of featuring Nintendo games on his channel anymore. Do you think this will see a rise in YouTubers getting copyright strike for putting out content on emulating Nintendo games? Last night I heard that the PlayStation Network was down worldwide for quite a few hours, I think it ended up being out for around six hours, but not 100% sure. Noticed the PlayStation subreddit was lit up last night with people complaining about the servers being down. Was anyone here dealing with the outage? What did you end up doing while it was down? I don't think Sony has come out with why the servers were down so long. I know they recently added more ads to the homepage, so I wonder if there was an issue with that resulting in the site going down. Some speculated it was a hack because other major tech companies were dealing with outages too. Metro Awakening is a new game that's exclusively in VR. It'll be available on PC November 7th and PSVR 2 November 5th of this year. It definitly looks like a game I could see myself playing if I had a decent enough headset. I doubt this one will work for the likes of the Meta Quest 3 though.

Fear the Spotlight is an upcoming narrative horror games from the people at Cozy Game Pals and Blumhouse Games. It's graphically similar to horror games from the mid to late 90s. It honestly looks pretty cool graphically. I like that Blumhouse is in the game business now, they seem to do decent enough when it comes to horror movies, so I'm excited to see what they do game wise going forward. It's currently out on Steam, but looks to be coming out for PS4/PS5 October 22nd. I believe its coming to Xbox One and Series X|S at a later date.

Dynasty Warriors is back this January 2025. This is the 10th entry in the main series. I've only played one of the earlier games, but never got too invested in the series like my friend was for example. Who here is a fan of the series and is looking forward to this one? It comes out Jan 2025 for the PC (Steam), Xbox Series X|S, and PS5.

ArcheAge Chronicles is an online action RPG that is set 50 years after the original game. I never played the original game, but heard it was pretty good. Is this on anyone's radar? Is this a day one buy for you? It looks really good, so I might finally play the first game and then this. Check out the trailer below. It's coming out for PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The release date has yet to be announced. But probably 2025 or 2026 at the latest.

I've never actually played any of the Lunar games, so now is my chance to jump in with the remastered collection coming soon. This collection includes LUNAR: Silver Star Story and LUNAR 2: Eternal Blue in one package. It is expected to come out in the spring of 2025 for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Switch and PC.

Hell is Us is an upcoming action adventure game with a hint of supernatural elements, at least that's what it looks like from the trailer. Looks like another souls-like game. But looks like a lot of fun. It'll be dropping sometime in 2025 for the PS5.

If you guys watched the PlayStation Sate of play recently, you would have seen the reveal of the upcoming Ghost of Tsushima sequel called Ghost of Yotei, which takes place in the 1600s while the original game I think took place in the 1200s. In this one you play as a female samurai (I think samurai right?) named Atsu. I already heard some people throwing a fit that you play a woman. It's stupid that people make such a fuss about such things still. Anyway, this new game drops sometime 2025.

Yakuza fans are going to be excited about this one. Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii is a new game in the Yakuza Like a Dragon series. It's coming out for the PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and the Xbox Series X|S. You play as Goro Majima, an ex-yakuza who lost his memory and decides to become a pirate. I sadly haven't played the Yakuza series all that much. I played one of the games on the Xbox One, but couldn't get invested into it all that much. Anyway, check out the announce trailer below. It drops in February of 2025.

If you're familiar with the Jackbox Party Pack games, you'll know sort of what to expect with the Jackbox Naughty Pack. This pack sadly only features 3 games. This is not usually the amount of games most Party Packs have, as they tend to come with 5 or 6 I believe. This version of Jackbox includes game modes like; Dirty Drawful, Let Me Finish, and Fakin’ It All Night Long. Dirty Drawful is essentially a Pictionary style game. Let Me Finish is a mode where you have to present something, and Fakin' it all night long is a social deduction game where you need to find the "faker" in your group. If you're the faker, you need to lie to get away. It all sounds fun, but I wished there was more game modes. The other Party Packs had a lot more modes, and I see the reviews are reflecting that with this one, as they're mostly negative on Steam. If they were to add more game modes, I bet the reviews would be better. Anyway, who here has played this new Jackbox game? Is it worth checking out? Or is the regular Jackbox Party Packs good enough?

Copycat is a new narrative adventure game where you play as a shelter cat who is adopted, but her new home is taken over by a copycat forcing her out of the home and into the streets. Seems depressing though, but I can see myself playing this at least once. It's out now on Steam - https://store.steampowered.com/app/1622350/Copycat/
