I can't say I ever played the first game, but it's cool to see a sequel coming out for this. Spirit of the North 2 is a new game from Infuse Studio. It was recently revealed, and you can find the reveal trailer below. As well, you can find the steam page for it here - https://store.steampowered.com/app/1778840/Spirit_of_the_North_2/ It will also be coming out for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5. No official release date yet, but it is said to be coming out sometime this year. Did anyone play the first game?

According to this article here - https://www.pushsquare.com/news/2025/02/the-order-1886-dev-pitched-a-sequel-to-sony-but-was-denied the Ready at Dawn co-founder Andrea Pessino says he had pitched a sequel to The Order: 1886, but it was denied instead. Pessino believes it was due to the poor reviews the game received. Which is likely the cause. I don't know about the sales, but I assume the game didn't sell super well. Anyway, would you have liked to see a sequel? Even with the lower reviews in question, should Sony have given Ready at Dawn another crack at a game?

Source of story: https://nintendoeverything.com/take-two-talks-nintendo-switch-2-indicates-it-will-support-the-console/ This is great news for Nintendo fans, because Take-Two hasn't done too many games for Nintendo in recent years. I don't think they've seen a GTA title since I can't remember. The GTA trilogy released on it, RDR1 and maybe some other classics down the line. But, Take-Two and Rockstar for the most part, haven't released any of their modern titles to the Switch. But, things might be changing when the Switch 2 arrives, as Take-Two The article doesn't specifically say much, but that they are looking to support the console because they believe the Switch 2 can support any audience, so I imagine they think there's good money to be made here. Do you think more Take-Two games will pop up on the Switch 2? Maybe RDR2 or GTA V will pop up on there. I'm sure they can tone down the graphics to get RDR2 and even new games to work.

The ESA (Entertainment Software Association has recently come out against the idea of tariffs being pushed on imports from China, Mexico and Canada. I heard some of those countries, like Canada who has worked in a deal with the US to increase their border security. Anyway, this is not meant to be a political discussion, but more on the idea of what tariffs could do to the gaming industry and us gamers. With that all being said, tariffs could cause a rise in prices for video games, not only that, but consoles, and all the parts that go into them could be affected by these tariffs. The US citizens will be stuck paying the increased prices. Of course, things could change from now and into the next few years. Maybe these tariffs won't go through and things will just go back to normal. Or it could end up being where just about everything goes up in prices. And we all know the gaming industry will increase those prices to make up for the costs. You can read more on what the ESA had to say in their statement in the article below. https://rushdownradio.net/the-esa-speaks-out-on-impending-tariffs-how-they-could-reshape-the-video-game-industry/

Keep Driving is a new game from indie game studio YCJY Games. It's said to be a management RPG where you're heading on a road trip to attend a festival across the country, and during your travels you can pick up hitchhikers, upgrade your vehicle and more. Check out the trailer below. The pixel style graphics look really nice. Check it out on Steam here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2756920/Keep_Driving/

Source - https://www.ign.com/articles/tony-hawk-confirms-plans-for-pro-skater-3-4-remake-were-abandoned-after-blizzard-merger Well that's disappointing. After the Tony Hawks Pro Skater 1 + 2 remakes that came out a few years ago, I was expecting Activision and company to make a sequel featuring 3 & 4, but it seems that is no longer planned after Vicarious Visions was merged and eaten by Blizzard, which was merged into Blizzard. The man himself, Tony Hawk confirmed the news. And it sounds like there are no plans to make any sequels even, as they tried to find other developers but decided not to. Do you think we'll one day get more Tony Hawk games?

EA CEO Andrew Wilson recently stated that the new Dragon Age: The Veilguard was a failure due to not having enough live service elements. Yes you heard that right, the EA CEO thinks the new Dragon Age would have succeeded if they made it into some live service shlock. He and EA were recently disappointed with the recent earning reports for the company for the recent quarter. I really think these CEOs and people in charge of these gaming companies are either dumb or completely out of the loop to believe every game needs live service elements. Dragon Age doesn't need it, it just needs to be a good quality game with a good story. Check out the news on this below. And give us your thoughts on it. The Sims 1 & 2 is back in the Legacy Collection. It includes the original games alone with all DLC. It just released recently. But I'm a bit confused about the versions available. I thought this was a two pack set that included the Sims 1 and 2 along with all DLC. But according to the EA site, there are two listings: The Sims - https://www.ea.com/games/the-sims/the-sims-25th-anniv-edition The Sims 2 - https://www.ea.com/games/the-sims/the-sims-2-25th-anniv-edition I thought this was a collection with both games included, but it looks like they just re-released both games separately the first game for $20, and the second for $30. Both versions include all the DLC that released for them, or so I believe from the descriptions on the site. Also it looks to only be available on PC via Steam, Windows, Epic Games and the EA launcher.

Source - https://twistedvoxel.com/valve-planning-steam-console-to-compete-with-playstation-xbox/ This would be pretty cool. I know they are making the Steam OS easily accessible to users, as you can now download Steam OS to other devices and may even use it on PC. So it would be very interesting if Valve decides to make their own console. They have the catalog of games already, and I'm sure they could make a console that matches what most consoles do today, if not better. Though this might not be 100% true. It's all alleged by an insider who also happens to be a content creator, who recently spoke about how another YouTuber spilled the details about there being a new console in the works. He believes it has something to do with Valve being heavily involved in the development of drivers for the AMD 9070 GPU, and it's alleged that will be in the console. Check the article above for more details on this news. What do you think though? Would you like Valve to come out with a console? I know we've had a SteamBox I think it was back in the day, which was kind of like a console/PC hybrid if I remember correctly. But I don't think they've outright made their own console aside from the SteamDeck.

I read an article about something a former PlayStation exec said, on how Xbox could be on track to becoming a software only company. You can read the article here - https://tech4gamers.com/xbox-software-only-company/ We're already seeing Xbox games coming to PlayStation consoles. So this would make sense. Especially with their hardware sales as of late not coming close to that of PlayStations. PlayStation's Shawn Layden believes that Xbox is going to go full third party in the future, instead focusing on software over hardware. He believes they're heading down a similar path to that of Sega and how they became a third-party publisher/developer. Do you think that will happen though? I think it could work simply because of the amount of IPs MS owns. If they actually put out more games, maybe then I could see it working. And I suppose they could put more focus on their games rather than hardware. What do you think though?

Disorder is an action roguelike from the team at GRUMPY that released recently for the PS5. It's also available on the PC via Steam. Many say the game is heavily inspired by Stellar Blade. Has anyone here played this one yet? Worth checking out?

Has anyone here played the new Ninja Gaiden 2 Black that just released a few days ago? I hear it's been getting good reviews. It's a remastered/remake of Ninja Gaiden 2. I was never too fond of the intense difficulty of the original versions, so I don't know if this is really for me. But for fans of the franchise, it's out now for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via steam.

It's still weird to me that some Xbox games are releasing on PlayStation. Forza Horizon 5 to be exact, will be releasing on the PlayStation 5 this spring 2025. Everything that was in the PC and Xbox version of the game, will be available to PlayStation gamers. Check out the news via the link below. And tell us what you think of this news. Will you be playing Forza Horizon 5 on your PS5 this spring? https://forza.net/news/forza-horizon-5-comes-to-ps5

VGChartz has a top 10 list of fighters they feel are overdue from appearing in the Smash Bros franchise. To view the list, check the article below. I will list off the first 5, but the rest can be viewed on the site. Are there any characters you would add? Maybe a character you'd exchange with one on this top ten list? 10. Midna 9. Lloyd Irving 8. Leon Kennedy 7. Shadow the Hedgehog 6. Lara Croft Top five can be viewed here - https://www.vgchartz.com/article/463815/ten-overdue-fighters-for-smash-bros/

News here - https://mp1st.com/news/report-eu-plans-to-ban-sales-of-video-game-controllers-in-russia-due-to-military-use I guess the EU is looking to ban the sale of video game consoles and controllers to Russia, as there is a belief they are repurposing them for military use, one of the alleged uses was to operate drones. The thing is, I don't think this will really matter all that much. According to the article, Russia already has access to Chinese made controllers, so they can easily find alternatives. But I think it's kind of funny that Russia might be without popular video game consoles.

Folk Hero is an action slasher with rogue-like elements from the people at Targem Games. I'm really liking the art style and gameplay. It's been out on Steam since October of 2023, but it looks like it just released for the Switch. More info on the game can be found here: https://targem.com/project/folk-hero/

WWE 2K25 is coming soon and a new trailer dropped for it revealing Roman Reigns as the games cover star. It also shows off some gameplay and what I assume is their Showcase mode. I'm just hoping it's not the same exact game as the last two or three. Who here plans to get this one? Or are you going to pass on it? It releases March 14th for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC Via Steam.

Source - https://simulationdaily.com/news/bodylink-kickstarter-success/ This reminds me a lot of Kinect, in that you're the controller. Though it does come with a controller, it looks more like a small remote. The device doesn't look all that appealing to me. But I guess this was successfully funded on Kickstarter recently. They originally only had a goal of $5000, but have reached $94,872 in funding. Kind of surprised this actually made it with how no one really cared for the Kinect. But maybe it's been enough time where most people have forgotten about it. Anyway, is this something you'd ever get? Or do you see this as a novelty thing where you'll play it once or twice and be done with it?

Source - https://www.dsogaming.com/mods/grand-theft-auto-vice-city-nextgen-edition-available-for-download/ I guess someone remade Vice City in GTA IV's Rage engine and are calling it the Nextgen Edition, and they released it fairly recently to all to download. The people behind the mod already lost their original YouTube account because of Rockstar, so I'm doubtful this game will stick around too much longer. The issue though with this version, is that it doesn't require the original game to play. So they are essentially releasing the full game for free. Which I think Rockstar might not like and will take action on. But, you can still see the trailer for the Nextgen edition below. Not sure how long this one will stay up though. Honestly it looks pretty good though. I kind of wish Rockstar would just work with these modders and developers who are giving new life to their games.

Code Violet is a third-person action horror game from the team at TeamKill Media. It looks to be coming out for PS5 only. There was talks of a PC version, but the developer recently chose not to release on PC because of the modding community. It's coming out in July of 2025. You can find more on the game here - https://www.teamkillmedia.com/codeviolet

I'm surprised no one showed this off yet, but there is a new Virtua Fighter in the works and here's some pre-development gameplay of what they are wanting to do with the new game. It was shown off during CES 2025, you can find it below. It really looks like something fresh for the fighting genre. I never saw combat quite like this, especially with the blocking. Looks so cool.

Mexico, 1921: A Deep Slumber is a new narrative adventure game from Mácula Interactive that takes place in post-revolutionary Mexico. You play as a photojournalist living in the time. Café Paris is a new simulation style game from the team at Virtual Sky Interactive, where you run a coffee shop in Paris. They say it's an endless coffee shop simulator, so there doesn't seem to be an end-game to it. If you're into that type of simulation game where the game doesn't end, this game may be for you. You can find the game on Steam here - https://store.steampowered.com/app/1612330/Cafe_Paris/
