I absolutely agree. It makes Springfield feel really lived in and alive, and there are small, subtle nods to the show all over the place. The writing is also very good, it's made me laugh several times on this playthrough.

I'm currently playing The Simpsons: Hit & Run on the PS2. I absolutely love this game. I think I've beaten it 2 or 3 times before, but I'm gonna try to go for 100% completion this time, which I have never done before.

I'd say the objective marker from Ghost of Tsushima. Where a lot of games have either a big arrow, a compass or a glowing trail showing you where to go, Ghost of Tsushima has a great mechanic where you just give the PS4 touch sensor a swipe, and a gust of wind will blow in the direction of your next objective. It's a really simple feature, but it's very effective at maintaining immersion.

You can still play Jetpack Joyride, I played it just the other day! Such a great game.
I really like that Rockstar have made most of their classic games available on mobile. I've played quite a bit of San Andreas on my phone, and I just recently bought Bully again. Paired with a bluetooth controller it's a pretty damn good gaming experience.

I guess you must look at us late-twenties millennials the same way we look at late-teen zoomers, so I kinda know how you feel 😅
If it helps, when I grew up I had a 12" black and white TV in my room and we only got 2 channels, so I know a thing or two about grainy cartoons!

I'm always super hyped about anything Remedy makes. I honestly haven't played much of the Max Payne franchise, but Alan Wake is probably one of my favorite games, and I loved both Quantum Break and Control. I'm still holding out hope for Alan Wake 2, but at this point I'm not not sure that's ever gonna happen.

Hit & Run honestly might be one of my favorite games of all time. I played it so much when I was a kid, and I actually started replaying it very recently, and it holds up shockingly well. I recently got a CRT TV for my retro setup amd and an RGB cable for my PS2, so this game has never looked better.
I also played The Simpsons Game back when it first came out. It was one of the first games I got for the 360, and although I remember liking it back then, it didn't really leave a lasting impression like Hit & Run did.
The last Simpsons game I have played is Road Rage on the GBA. I had some fun with it as a kid, and it's kinda impressive considering it's a "3D" game on the GBA, but it's not really anything special.

I would say that the first one was pretty much blatant ripoff of GTA IV, the second one had a lot more original ideas, and by the third one it had really come into it's own. I personally love the third one, but I can understand that some might not like it as much.

I think the first game I remember playing was probably Sim Town on the PC. It was a simplified version of Sim City more aimed at kids. I must have been 5 or 6 at the time.

Well that's the thing, outside it being one of those interactive visual novels (another thing I usually can't stand) I can't really explain anything about without major spoilers so let's just say it NOT what you think and it's definitely worth checking out. Especially since it's free!
I second this one. I haven't played it personally, but I watched the Game Grumps' playthough of it. I'll just say that it certainly gets very, very interesting, so I highly recommend checking it out.

Persona 5 for me. I've never been a fan of JRPGs, but I heard so many good things about it so I had to check it out. Since then I've put over 100 hours into it and I don't think I'm close to finishing it. It's now one of my favorite games.

My favorite concert I've been to was Ninja Sex Party, with TWRP and Planet Booty warming up for them. TWRP is my favorite band, and Ninja Sex Party is probably my second favorite, so that was an absolutely magical evening.
Another one of note is when I saw a band called Darkened Nocturn Slaughtercult. It's not a band I had listened to before, and I haven't really listened to them since. I don't care too much for their music to be honest. What made it special is that this was at a very small festival in Italy that me and my band were also playing at. We had already played, I was quite drunk and hopped up on adrenaline from playing, and during their set, the singer of DNS would drink pig blood and spit it at the crowd. I was in the front row and got absolutely covered in blood. This is not normally my kind of thing, but in that moment, it was the perfect end of an awesome night.

I hate, HATE when I start a new mobile game and it forces you through one of those mandatory, extremely hand-holdy tutorials. You know the kind that walks you through every mechanic of the game, with huge arrows point to an option and won't let you click anything else? If a game has one of those I get pretty tempted to just uninstall it right then and there.

When they first announced that Netflix was making a live action Death Note movie I was super excited. I'm a big fan of the manga and anime, so of course the live action movie would be great, right? Right?
I could only get about halfway through before I had to stop, it was so insultingly bad. I'm sure it's an okay film if you don't know the source material, but most of the characters were just awful. I went back and finished the second half about two weeks later.

Although it didn't start out as a Netflix show, I just recently binged all 3 seasons of Cobra Kai, and I absolutely loved it. Highly recommend it.

I remember playing the demo of Driver on the PS1 and thinking the graphics looked absolutely amazing. How far we've come. I also absolutely loved Driver: Parallel Lines back in the day, which is a game I don't think I've heard anyone else talk about, like ever. Personally I would love a remaster of that one, but unfortunately I think the chances are very slim

I tried out the trial version of this game, and I was pretty pleasantly surprised. I do have a pretty fast internet connection, but I found it to be a lot more stable than services like Xbox Gamepass streaming or PS4 Remote play. I would definitely be interested in seeing more games getting this treatment. Maybe something like Destiny 2, which is free to play on other platforms. I think it would be a great a idea to release something for free so that people can really try out the feature before investing.

A couple of weeks ago I dusted off my Vita and finally bought Persona 4 Golden. I really loved P5, and I've heard so many good things about P4, so I decided to go back and try to play it. I'm not very far in, but it seems very good so far. I've also been playing a little bit of Bully on my phone, which is one of my favorite games of all time. I played the crap out of it on the PS2, and again on the 360. The Andoid port is running very well, and with a controller it's just like playing on a console.

I tend to agree with this, but I'm pretty biased as this was when I grew up. I had a PS1 as a kid and loved games like Crash Bandicoot and Spyro, but I also finally got an N64 earlier this year and was very positively surprised by how well these games have held up. Games like Banjo Kazooie, Diddy Kong Racing, GoldenEye, Gauntlet Legends, Starfox and Star Wars: Rogue Squadron are still so much fun to play.
