These developers have never cared so much about how gamers feel and it's why they keep making unnecessary changes to games that seems to be perfect in every way. Sadly, they are calm because they are very sure that gamers will always buy the games no matter what functionality they remove or add to the game.

In as much as game developers try to make games as interesting as it can be but they should always try to know what the fans want and not develop games which fans wouldn't find satisfactory.

That's the point, everyone starts off with just their picaxe. The point is to find weapons as soon as you can so you can better defend yourself. With time, it can eventually get fun, especially with the building mechanics. It adds a lot of options to make the game different. I suck at building, but it has helped me get out of hairy situations before.

But, there's also other modes. They now have a no build mode, where you get extra shield, but of course, can't build. And there's also creative mode where they make special game modes. There's a lot to fortnite, but I understand why people don't get into it.

It isn't close to what Gears of War was though, if anything the controls are more smooth and easier to get into than Gears of War. At least imo.

Fortnite is not as mundane as they make it seem, what I can attest to is that fortnite is a lot more challenging for first time players but if have been on the game for a few weeks and gathered armour and skins it becomes a lot more interesting.

    **SPOILERS** (Maybe)

The entire point of the Assassins Creed games from the beginning -- literally the whole fabric of the story arc -- was to take Desmond Miles (a person from the modern day era) and send him to the past through a holographic re-living of the past in order to acquire information and context for the present-day events. Desmond has since been replaced by a plethora of randoms and now the modern day sequences I basically ignore as much as other folks like you do.

Modern day stuff could be excellent, it's just that the developers choose not to take the risk at this point. If they removed any reference to the modern day at all, the games themselves would be essentially be random tours of random historical places. Even when you play as Alexios or Cassie in AC Odyssey, you find the original network of the Knights Templar and track them down. And that's like a thousand years before Desmond was dealing with the pharmaceutical company in the games modern era in the first game; the company of which both created the Animus and was a Templar front. So the context is still there. The satanic looking devil being "cult" members in Odyssey developed into a modern day drug company; why am I not surprised.

In my opinion Assassin's creed has been able to develop their characters really and no matter the era the video game is set in they still try to make the characters be relatable to that era as well.

Remakes that are perfectly developed are always worth playing. Yeah, you would have to contend with getting the game on a full price because it's just the game's companies pattern now. The way I see remasters is more like a correction on their initial release poor graphics.

I haven't played a lot of Remakes though but I intend to play the Remake of resident evil 4 and it's going to be out in 2023.

Cutting down on my game's backlog is one of my biggest challenges. This is because I keep getting more games and keep adding it to an already big pile of games that are yet to be completed. I'm not a completionist, so it even make me to have more games left without being completed 100%.

I think I spend more on video games than anything else, I have a whole list of video games I bought and played just once

I would get any other game until I ma able to play the ones I have right now.

  6. They go both ways some can be really exciting while others rather annoying since it takes to long and with some extra effort to defeat those bosses.

Though meeting a boss usually indicates the last battle in that level before progressing to the next stage or level in the game so playing a video game and finally meeting the boss is exciting.

It completely depends on the game and if the puzzle is similar to another puzzle in the game.

Scenario #1 : Oldschool runescape has puzzles were you get rewards after such as clue scrolls, these can be annoying and stopping you from going back to PVM or other combat related tasks so I would generally use a plugin to quickrun them. Also the puzzle for a questline called Monkey Madness I would always pay the GP required to have it auto completed by an NPC do to speed running the quest.

Scenario #2 : A dungeon in a gave where you need to place objects or pull levers to exit into a new area it would be much more interesting to see if you get the right combination as its a 1 off playthrough, wouldn't want to ruin the feels.

Scenario #3 : Easter Eggs, I would hate to ruin easter egg locations or Mazes in general to get the content at the end. Seems to be a special part of the game that developers put in for the die hard fans who want to enjoy it or those who just stumble across the piece of content.

That's true if the puzzle seems repetitive I would just skip or maybe find a more easier way to get it done.

I haven't played a lot of games with puzzles though but for the one I have encountered they weren't such a pain in the neck so cheating was never an option.

  8. The release date of Hogwarts feels a lot more closer than it has ever been, barely four months to its release and if I eventually get to play the game it would be my first ever Harry Potter related video game I am playing.

waaaaaay more than any other form of entertainment other than eating.

I think I spend a lot on games as well which is surprising because I don't like to spend too much on certain things.

I think video games are the only form of entertainment I really don't mind spending my money on , I wouldn't do that for a movie or something else.

Exactly!! It gives the gamer more cover just in case something that ordinarily shouldn't happen occurs and he's going to guided. About Red Dead Redemption 2, it's one game that Rockstar did something amazing with almost everything that's linked with the game including its saving modes.

I did a lot of saves when I played FIFA or maybe PES , I would usually save my spectacular goals or maybe a really good run I made.

I feel soccer games has a really good save mode and one of the best I have personally used.

No, gaming has definitely moved to the easier side. It's not a trend. "Old-school hard" games are now a niche genre. In reality, I think most people actually don't care for punishingly hard games. They want a challenge, but not a controller-throwingly frustrating challenge. The only reason those kinds of games were made was to eat up quarters in arcades so that people wouldn't beat them too fast.

Some would still play a certain video game because of the adrenaline rush and how hard they would try not to fail or get past a new stage.

Video games has various kinds of feeling you get from it so either it gets you excited or keeps you at the edge of your sit till you are done or maybe to tired to play that video game again.

It doesn't cost to much to get your hands on Portal and give it a try and get thinking and take your time. I have got bridge portal that I never got to able to play and do and yet I have watch people playing the game on Twitch many years ago

I would love to get my hand on it but I already purchased a bunch of video games lately that I haven't played or maybe Played just once and adding more to that list doesn't sound like a good idea though, but hopefully I would play the video game.

Exploring is great the first time. Not so much the next. Make sure that players do not have to double back that often, or else things become slow very quickly. Also, someone mentioned exploration difficulty, which I agree with. However, it does not need to be danger. I remember Skyward Sword island exploration fondly because it took some skill and practice to get to some of the small islands.

I don't usually explore the first time since I don't really understand the game at the time, I would usually he more comfortable to explore when I go over the game again and this time I already have a hint of the game so I am not stuck or lost as to what to expect next.
