I've returned to my original interest: TV shows and movies. I neglected them for months before coming to VGR, so I'm glad to return to my first love once again.

Either ways you are having a good time doing what you like, certain deal breakers like the one you mentioned as the medieval period could make you slowly and slowly lose interest in video games that Interest can be channeled to something else you find more interesting like movies and TV shows.

This was a huge leap for me being that I played on consoles all my life before I decided to give PC gaming a run. It was very challenging that I had to buy PC controllers at first but with time on using mouse and keyboard, I started appreciating how good they are.

Most of my video game experience were usually around consoles and I have never really played video games on PC so currently if I get into it I would need more time to adapt to the mouse and keyboard control.

Yeah, maybe. Doesn't help that I'm incredibly picky. Also, it feels like I've outgrown video games tbh. I played Halo: CE (MCC) the other day, and I only played two levels before turning it off. And I only played it just to get the level complete achievements.

I was very picky as well when I joined the community I would only play Moto Gp or Gran Turismo and nothing more but now I find that I am willing to explore and try out other genre of video games.

I don't feel I have outgrown video games but now I don't have more time to play as I used to.

I feel like there is less customization in 9.  You can't change spoiler angle or ride height like you could in 8.

I rarely change my ride height though I played it some months ago but I remember you could change the ride angle, every WRC game I have played had that settings.

    Well, not always.

For Age of Empires, I wouldn't play it because I don't like RTS games since they require good strategy (I did enjoy Age of Mythology though because I love mythologies).

As for Assassin's Creed, I played the first game and got bored quickly by how repetitive it felt. The only assassin games I liked were Hitman games. lol

I see, maybe it's more superficial than it is the fault of the videogames it self , you don't just enjoy playing them and even when you try to you just get bored of it just a few minutes into the game.

Sometimes I'm bored and I just feel like dying without a penalty is too boring. I do tend to torture myself by purposely making it much harder as I like the challenge.

That's understandable, sometimes you just feel the need to give in a complete focus and try to pass a level and in times when you fail to you just take the penalty other than skipping it or just proceeding to play it over again.

Thanks.  I just remembered another difference between 8 and 9.  You have more options of places they could send you on maintenance days in 9.

I actually noticed that when I had my first play through but I felt it was negligible and not really a factor worthy of mention here.

But I also noticed you had more options in terms of car customization and upgrade if you ever feel the need to do one.

It's an online MMO where you can create your own superhero and you had tons of customization options so you'd probably be there for hours everyday making alternate costumes for your character.

That sounds interesting, I like to create my own characters and still considering getting into video games development later on.

If I get to play this game then I think I might just spend all my time customizing my character other than playing the main story.

To be fair, when I played Skyrim the first time, the opening sequence was boring as hell but once the game got going, I loved. In subsequent playthroughs, I started appreciating the slow start as I started to take in more of the minor details and foreshadowing in the story.

The start of some RPG'S or open world game can be usually slow because the game developers would try to build the story from the point but as you progress and begin to understand the game better you tend to become more and more attuned to it.

I'm telling you right now just spray paint Battlefield, COD or FIFA onto a piece of paper and their fanboys will pay $60 for it.

That's exactly same for fans of maybe resident evil or some other video game franchise that tries to achieve a consistent yearly release of video games.

Portal is not only about solving 19 easy puzzles and boss fight. Portal was so good because it was something other, something special. It was the best 3D logic game with it's story behind the scenes. Playing 2nd Portal game (which is so much longer, has multiple puzzle themes, puzzles themselves are harder

Personally I Haven't played much of portal either but I have seen a few game play videos on it and I have realized that the developers of portal were able to achieve a puzzle game with a storyline that makes it a whole lot interesting and intriguing.

First gameplay I would not do that, but if you played the game more then once then I would skip it. Playing to get the story and achievements done as I would now what the story is about

For the first game play I don't even skip anything including the dialogue that always happens in certain games at the beginning which is meant to give you a hint of what to expect but if I am coming back to play for the second time I just skip those parts.

Nope, i've also played Sifu, Shadow Warrior 3, Ghostwire Tokyo, DnF Duel, Splatoon 3 and Bayonetta 3 this year.

I just found it to be a very underwhelming sequel. The gameplay feels like a step back in various ways(hard to explain fully) and half of the plot is just cauldron fetch quests. Also doesn't really have the same wow factor the first game does, it doesn't do anything to up the scale. Should have been built from the ground up on next gen.

I am yet to play bayonnetta 3 though I have been taking about it for a while now and sincerely I don't really know what to expect from the game anymore, have  you played and Completed it already?

Anyone playing God of War Ragnarok? I am planning to buy this game? I want your honest opinion.

I haven't gotten the game yet but I was considering getting it before the end of the week, I really didn't want to purchase it and not have time to play so I would wait until I get enough spare Time.

I thin 2022 was really good year for the gaming industry, we saw some really good new games (Elden Ring, for example) and some good sequels (Dying Light 2, God of War Ragnarok, etc.)

They were an interesting amount of exciting games that was released this year and I am excited I was able to play a few of them, I really can't wait for others still coming out before the end of the year to be out already.
