Considering Sony just stopped production of the PSVR2, they most likely see it as a failure and will soon announce that they're abandoning support for it, much like they did for the PS Vita. It sucks and it's a shame but, Sony's track record on handhelds or peripheral devices like this isn't very good.

While I agree with IV being old. It'd be easier to run on the Switch natively, whereas GTA V might still require it to be ran through the cloud and not run natively on the Switch hardware. The switch hardware is very old now and struggles to run new games natively, hell it struggled to run games like GTA5 even back when it was new. Nintendo is notorious for underpowering their systems compared to the competition.

I don't think so. I don't think anything will defeat Windows as the OS for PC gaming. I'd love to see a Linux distro come along and do this though but I think we're a long way out from that though. I don't think mac will ever be a truly viable option for PC gaming, especially when it comes to running older games from decades past.

I watched a buddy of mine play this on stream last week. It looks great and I'd love to pick it up at some point when I have some extra cash to spend on games. However, right now it's gonna have to remain on the wishlist. I do love me some old-school Contra, though.

Yeah I heard the remasters of these games was done really poorly and the online components are completely unplayable to the point they shouldn't even be in the game. It's a shame really because I loved the original battlefront series back in the day.

At this point in the life cycle, try to get a Series X for a good deal or perhaps just wait for the next Xbox to come out. I've seen Xbox Series X go on sale for as low as $349 and come with multiple games and extras. If you don't need the disc drive, you could probably get a Series S on sale for less than $250 now. I've seen them as low as $139.99 brand new.

I wouldn't mind a really good THPS 6 or even THPS 3+4 in the same style of remake as 1+2. However, I don't see that happening since the studio who handled 1+2 and did a fantastic job, was shut down and merged into another studio within Activision. Kinda like what they did to Neversoft back in the day. I guess history really does repeat itself.

Remakes/Remasters I'd like to see: Chrono Trigger Chrono Cross Final Fantasy IX Metal Gear Metal Gear 2 Metal Gear Solid Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen These are probably a long shot though......I could see MGS being remade pehraps but i dunno about the others.

Source? I could see it happening but i would rather them wait a bit longer and give us another remake for say, Code Veronica, before giving us IX. That's just me. Code Veronica is the only game in the series that still needs to be remade, well, outside of the Outbreak games but I digress. I would rather get Code Veronica first, then IX.

I only buy my PCs at best buy and always, ALWAYS buy the protection plans for them when I do. I'd rather spend another $500 and know that my investment of $2500 or more is protected and fully covered for 3 years than not have it and have something go wrong 6 months into ownership. and thne be SOL as they say. Best Buy has never given me any issues with anything and I would recommend buying from there over anywhere else, personally.

For me, Probably MGSV. I kinda had an inkling of what the 'twist' was and I guess it makes sense as to why they didn't bring back David Hayter to voice "Big Boss". (Yes the quotes are intentional) only to find out you weren't playing as Big Boss, but, they kinda told you that in the beginning of the game if you were paying close attention anyways. It still seemed like a weak, shoe-horned in sort of ending IMHO.

I dunno if I'd consider myself a Pro, but i'm pretty decent at Call of Duty. I've also sank an ungodly amount of hours into Phantasy Star Online across multiple platforms since it's release in 2000........so take for that what you will. 😛

When new consoles come out, do you tend to buy them when they first release or do you wait for the remodel or 'slim' model that comes out a year or so later? For me, it depends if I can get my hands on the console or not. I'll probably buy the new xbox if I can get one when it launches and then see about the PS6. I know the PS5 Pro is out later this year and i'm on the fence about upgrading to it since the PS5 isn't my main gaming console.

If you have multiple consoles, I'm sure you have multiple controllers laying around. Do you have an idea of how many controllers you own? If I had to guess across all consoles, I'd say probably around 60 total for me. I know that sounds like a lot, but I have a lot of consoles and usually own at least 2 controllers per console. How many controllers do you have in your game collection?

So recently Rockstar has confirmed that the upcoming Grand Theft Auto 6 has been pushed back to 2026 due to some issues with development. How do you feel about this? Do you think this is a good thing? Do you think this will kill the hype for the game? Honestly, I haven't really enjoyed a GTA game since Vice City on the PS2 and the fact they released GTA 5 across THREE console generations IMO, is just pathetic, so my desire to play GTA 6 at all has been slim to none, so this push back on the release window doesn't bother me. That said, I know a lot of folks are probably upset about this news. What do you think?

With the release of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth late last month, I just recently finished the original Remake and currently wrapping up the integrade DLC before jumping into Rebirth and it got me thinking. Have you played or finished the Remake series yet including the newest game Rebirth? What are your thoughts so far on the remake series? Do you like it better than the original Final Fantasy 7 from 1997?

Has anyone tried Rise of the Ronin yet? i'm interested in this game but reviews weren't the greatest so I'm unsure if I want to drop $80 on it or not. What do you think? Have you tried this new game from Team Ninja yet? If so, how far into it are you and are you enjoying the gameplay? Me being so unsure about it, I might end up waiting for a sale, which I'm hoping will be sooner rather than later.

So, much like the original Final Fantasy 7 game you are able to go on a date with a member of your party at a certain point in the game. This is determined by perquisites that you've completed up until the point of the date, and the level of 'companionship' you accomplish with each character of your party. That being said, for those that played Rebirth so far, who did you end up dating? I haven't played it yet but I'm hoping to get either Tifa or Aerith to keep it as close to the original playthroughs of the original game that i've had in the past.

I would love to see a new Playstation handheld like the Vita, but at the same time, I wouldn't trust them to not abandon it like they did with the PS Vita. They just stopped production of the PSVR2 headset after only a year. Sony doesn't know what they're doing or how to market their products that aren't Playstation 5. It's sad to say but I doubt we'll ever see a true PS Vita successor from Sony. If we did, it would be abandoned within a year or two.

Cost effectively? I would just emulate it if you can. It's an okay game. I would definitely like a re-release of it but I don't see that happening to be honest.

I didn't game a lot in 2023 believe it or not. I would say it was probably the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Volume 1. I'm still in need of completing MGS3 out of that collection but I think that is the most gaming I've done in 2023. I've already played more games in 2024 than I did all of 2023.

I'll admit, when I first heard of this, I thought Square-Enix was finally giving us a 3rd game in the Chrono series. Alas, It's not what I was hoping for. Game still looks interesting but I would've definitely used another name for it. 😛 It might be a game I wait for to go on sale and pick it up fairly cheap to give it a try.

For me, my most anticipated game of 2024 would have to be Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. A remake of the original Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, all done in unreal engine 5. It looks beautiful and with new enhancements to gameplay. I'm really excited to see how Konami handles this remake and what other remakes we might see in the future if this one sells well.

If you buy or use gaming laptops, which brands do you prefer? for me, I like Alienware. Asus is a close 2nd choice for me. I always had pretty good luck with most Alienware laptops I've owned in the past. The only issue i've had was with the Alienware M18 R1 that I tried 2 variants of, each had different issues: All-AMD variant - Games just didn't load and would crash constantly, no matter the game. I think this was more of a GPU driver issue so I returned it and tried Alienware M18 R1 w/ RTX 4070 graphics - This one worked fine but it had 2 defective USB-C ports on the back. Now i'm rocking an Alienware M18 R2 with an intel CPU and a RTX 4070 GPU. I'm happy with it thus far and haven't had any issues aside from a botched windows update that was fixed with a re-installation of Windows. Another reason I've stuck with Alienware is because all of my peripherials are Alienware, I got a mouse and headset that's also Alienware. It's easy to just control them all within 1 application instead of needing to run multiple applications (such as iCue for example) What about you? What is your go-to brand?

What would you like to see as an improvement for the Elite series 3 controllers? For me? I'd like the following: Swappable thumbsticks similar to the dualsense edge. I don't mean just the top caps, i mean the entire stick mechanism to be swapped out. This would eliminate the need to buy new ones every time you get stick drift. They could sell replacements for maybe $20 or so Similar to what Sony does. Better back paddles, perhaps offer different design choices for them? Add it to the design lab on day one. More durable. Better Battery Life. I don't think this is too much to ask for, personally and would love to see these changes in the Series 3 elite. What about you? Do you own an Elite or some other pro-controller for your xbox?
