Me and my friends finally got Skyrim together Reborn to work but the multiplayer modded even though improved, is still quite a glitchy mess but we did have some fun though.

so far i kinda like skyrim.

I think you might be posting this in the wrong thread: General Gaming Discussion, Last Game Played or the Pickup Thread might be a better choice, seeing as Unpacking isn't a franchise that's had a chance to go on for longer than it should.

    ~

I choose Warcraft for this thread. It ran out of steam before its first expansion, the climactic fight at Blackwing Lair being evidence because it was designed as a total joke. Illidan Stormrage's line of 'death was merely a setback' began a precedent that previously only existed in comic books. Its characters have long since been tired and unmotivated, expansion plot hooks being stretched beyond the imagination. The engine is sluggish, and beneath what few mechanics are left to streamline is a poorly organised heap of code that can't be rejiggered in case the whole KerPlunk configuration comes crashing down in on itself.

You could make a World of Warcraft 2. You could alienate what few players you have left, pile a load of money into an MMO that could only wish to be half as successful as the original game in its twilight days, and you could bring about a new beginning that can't take off while the old lore didn't get the swan song it so rightfully deserved.

I'd say it'd be better to quit now than continue development, but at the same time we're past the point where Warcraft can have a dignified end. When it dies it'll be recorded only as a pathetic footnote in the history of gaming despite all the impact it had on the industry for all the years that it did. What Blizzard didn't do with Warcraft is the only thing people will ultimately care about bittersweetly, and fortunately for its legacy, there's a lot to think about in that regard.

sorry. i guess since i don't know where to post stuff properly then maybe i should just not be on here.

I don't think anyone is stopping you, I mean, when new consoles come out, it's not like you're expected to buy them. You can play your old games on your old consoles fine. Just don't buy the new consoles and keep playing your older games. I still play many games on retro consoles, so you can still get life out of those old consoles.

I think you misunderstood. I want the new ones but I want the option to continue playing on the old ones but I can't now because the no internet thing has disabled my being able to use it.

  4. i got unpacking last night. i played it some before bed. very relaxing and cute little game. $20 though. not sure how much game there is on it to be played. download was like 7 min. doubt there's much content there. i hope it's not just gonna be the same few rooms over and over.

I think a good number of their fans moved on from the 3DS when Switch was introduced which they didn't try pulling the plug on it immediately. But with recent increase and popularity of Switch, it felt as if most people have already abandoned the 3DS, so it's only right that the company move on focus more on what's more on demand.

yeah but some of us like to go back and keep playing some of the stuff on older consoles and handhelds. i went to go play a legos game on mine that i can't get on my switch the one day and it wouldn't let me connect to the wifi to update my device and i can't get on and play without the update so it became unusable.

Maybe it's because it's was a lite version, I'm not really sure what would be the cause of that. I haven't played using the lite version yet. I'm going to ask my friend if he also experiences that quick heating up when he plays too long on his own.

like i said it's worse with games like fortnite. when my lite overheats the fan doesn't come on like it should and it's noisy when it does. i can tell if it's time to shut it down because my fortnite skins start looking screwy. been having trouble with my mic not wanting to work too.

  7. i wish the pc companies would get together with nintendo and try to figure out a way to bring more pc only games to nintendo. i will never be able to play cod with friends because there's no way to on a switch. there's been quite a few pc only games i've seen that interest me. the so called "similar" ones that switch offers up don't always have the best gameplay or mechanics. if they can offer us fortnite with all that goes into that game i don't understand why they couldn't have a switch version of cod that played the same. your thoughts in things like this?

  8. i'm not sure what "franchise" but i wish they would come out with something besides car/racing/driving games and horror games. i'd like to see more games that aren't competitive that would give some of us a more creative outlet. stuff that's a little more soothing to play. i like to have a rip roarin time in some games but there's days i want something calming. everything now is mostly shooters, cars, horror and sports. plus there's a larger market of older gamers than there used to be. maybe they could cater to that some. oh and i forgot about the farming. sick to death of the farm games.

  9. i appreciate the answers. i've never seen any online charges with ps2 before so that's news to me. never had an xbox either. i will probably stick with nintendo products as they are more affordable even the online services but now they've added another way to drag money from ppl. first there was just the online service. one person can pay $20 a year. family is like $39. now they added this new online plus thing for $50. generally there's options to do something cheaper and they offer free games. i'm rarely interested in the new games they put out because they're not ones i care for. but, i still have quite a few games to play despite that. i hadn't really done a lot of gaming for quite a while. i was just mainly playing sims on my wii. i feel like if we have to have subscriptions then we shouldn't have to be paying for in game content. but that's just my opinion. ☺️

  10. i remember back when i had my ps2 and all the game consoles i've had since then. there was never any online service to pay for. you just got on the internet...found your friends or whatever and played. now they make you pay for services in order to play with others and i'm assuming in general. it's bad enough the games are $60 a pop or maybe more?? i sometimes feel like they're just looking for ways to stick it to our wallets. i don't care for that much. you pay for internet...the console...the games and then that service, plus any in-game stuff you want. it's discouraging sometimes. it's getting more and more difficult to find sources of entertainment that don't cost a fortune. what are your opinions on this?

Do you guys ever thing we'll see a new DS? Or Nintendo handheld that isn't also a console like the Switch? I truly believe that the Switch is their future, in that they will continue to make handheld/console hybrids and skip the traditional handhelds they are known for. The 3DS & 2DS will probably receive support for a little while longer, but eventually I see Nintendo's focus being on new switch models rather than new DS/handhelds.

if they're gonna run with the switch they need to make some improvements in their hardware i think. i used to be able to play games all day long on my 3DS and that thing never once locked up or overheated. they need 3DS capabilities in with the switch capabilities to give us something more stable. but i like the concept of either having the option to hold it or hook it up to the tv. i just wish the damn screens weren't so small on all these things. lol!

A friend of mine had the same experience with his Nintendo Switch Lite. But I think that it's something to do with console having a factory problem. I never got to ask him what's the outcome. Now, that I have mentioned it, I'm going to check in on him about it.

for some reason the switch lite overheats really fast. the little internal fans don't work like they should. i can play animal crossing for quite a while before it heats up. fortnite is more involved and i'm good for about 3 matches then i gotta switch to my other one. they don't get quite as hot using the controller instead though. not sure why.

My account is still up and running. I still make out time once in a while to play the game but I'm not going to allow it sink in my my time like it did in 2019. Anyways, I have more than enough games that shares my time now, so it's going to be very difficult for that to happen with playing it again.

i don't mind that it takes up my time. i kinda need that.

Welcome to VGR, where the revolution has taken place around gaming. Feel free to share your experience with us and we'll do same with you.

i'm not sure what you mean by experience. sorry. perhaps you could explain a little more for me?

My attachment to Playstation consoles wouldn't let me switch to Nintendo consoles no matter how good they might look. It's why I had to work with Nintendo Switch as a way to still have a connection to the Nintendo brand.

i miss my ps2 but i fried it playing too many hrs at a time. lol!

  16. i like the flexibility of the newer handhelds. they can either be handheld or some can be plugged into the tv so u can play like u would on a regular console. the only thing i didn't like about my wii was never being able to establish a decent internet connection. i like the fact that i can play games online with friends and be able to communicate through voice chat about the gameplay or just every day discussions. it's fun and it's nice to have the companionship. plus the cheaper price is nice. i don't see any point in spending $500 or more on a console anymore. i do wonder if you get the hulu on your switch if you can use the same acct you have on the pc?

The 3ds was avery underated small console, looks like everybody already forgot about it after the Switch came up. I own both a 3ds and Switch but for some reason I always end up playing my 3ds more often.

Which are your favorite 3ds games ? Mine are:

    - Shovel Knight
    - Mario Kart 7
    - Pokemon Y (I hated the original version but just recently I dowloaded a "hacked" or updated version that increases the difficulty)
    - GunVolt series
    - Super Mario 3d land
    - The Legend of Zelda and Majora's mask remakes

i couldn't get on the internet with mine to update it anymore so i couldn't use it. they stopped the support on it right? i haven't checked my wii. i hope i don't have the same issue with it. that 3ds was frickin awesome.
