Did a stranger ever do you a good turn in a game?

Did someone you didn’t really know well or at all ever do anything particularly nice for you in a multiplayer game?

As an example, years after I quit a MUD, I saw someone I barely knew at all saying on a forum he still missed me because of the approach I took toward the game, which he found refreshing. I was surprised and touched by his comment.

i was normally chating in game till i got involved in a chat with a guy who was randomly playing in that server, i don't remember details but we are friends now for 6 years 😄 and he helped me in lot of things including video editing and design

Yeah, there was a total stranger who taught me how to play R2 technique in Wining Eleven when I was still new at the football game.
