Have you ever thought to create a game?

If so, what would it be about? While I am honestly not good at bells & whistles on a forum, doing themes, or graphics, I do like learning. Even if I cannot implement it lol So I’m curious, how does one go about creating a game? Are there certain apps you need to download? Some games I see have great graphics where it looks so real. I wonder how they do that. Is it based on an individual’s talent or the software they would download?

When I was young I dreamt of creating a game called life, in which you could choose a career and do anything. This was long before the sims or second life.

Later I thought I wanted to be a game developer so I started experimenting with game development, tried a few freely available engines, and even wrote my own driving game. Of course it was never completed, but it did work, you could actually drive in it.

Yes , I even created a small space shooter game, and I stopped as I went another direction for my money making path XD

If drawing my gaming fantasy counts as creating a game, then I have done it on more than one occasion especially when I was a teenager.
