But I'm not sure what I'd be looking forward to outside of maybe the Nintendo Switch 2 games and things like GTA 6 and a few others that I can't quite remember at the moment. Knight Plug 1

I do have a gut feeling that RE9 news isn't too far away after Capcom recently teased it. My only concern is, with how the series has been dog muck for a while because of silliness like RE8 and the terrible spin off media, I don't have as much faith in Capcom as I did when I was in high school. Eventually, you just kind of know when a company is cranking out stuff for a quick dollar. Being almost 40 years of age, I have coped up with a lot of blandness and controversy from them. I thought most of what they released in the 2010s was quite dreck, to be honest, and unlike other people, I have a hard job laughing it off with memes and all that like they do. I mean, Dusk Golem said this will be a reinvention of the series. So hopefully it will be glorious. But I have to see the goods before I can pass comment on how good or bad it is.

I don't feel like RE9 is going to be anything groundbreaking or new for the series. So I'm not overtly excited for another RE game to be honest. Knight Plug 1

I hope to see some update about it, as this has been a very dry period for RE news in general. Although if you are a fan of survival horror as a whole, the new Silent Hill movie should be out this fall, as it did receive a distributor. My only concern is that they want to do games about monsters and whatnot, not actually set in Silent Hill. It's like the theme is going to be the same, so you kind of still know it is related. However, in that case, keeping the same name just doesn't feel quite appropriate to me. Because these recent games are about Japanese women dealing with issues, even though the games have nothing but references to Silent Hill. As in, the actual place. That feels like cheating, in a way. But they are set in Japan and Germany. And Silent Hill is located in Maine, I believe. It is in the United States somewhere anyway. I know some other games took place in other areas. So I don't know. Maybe my fussing is just down to a personal preference, or something.

I mean, RE is starting to get stale with the same plotlines about some bioweapon being misused and now it's a world-ending threat. Knight Plug 1
