StaceyPowers Posted November 30, 2021 Posted November 30, 2021 I’ve seen so many people complain that they didn’t get into DA II/Inquisition because they had fewer dark fantasy/horror elements than Origins. This didn’t phase me much, and I realized genre isn’t as important to me. How important is genre for you in general in games?
Kane99 Posted December 1, 2021 Posted December 1, 2021 I don't get into all genres, but I would say I fall in line with select genres, like; action, adventure, rpg (some), racing (some), puzzle, horror, open world, etc. I would give any genre a try if I don't normally play it. I'm open to trying new genres as well. The ones I mentioned above are the ones I tend to focus on the most. But, I wouldn't say it's important to me.
PGen98 Posted December 1, 2021 Posted December 1, 2021 I'm not really all that into genres, if a game is good, I'm happy to play it. It could be a Barbie game for all it matters, if the game is fun and I enjoy it, I'm playing!
Boblee Posted December 1, 2021 Posted December 1, 2021 There are some people who are very picky when it comes to the kind of genre they play in video games, so it matters to them a lot because it is the kind of thing that gives them satisfaction to play.
