Scorpion Posted December 9, 2024 Posted December 9, 2024 I feel $60 is a fair price for new games. Considering inflation, $70 seems excessive. $50 would be ideal.
killamch89 Posted December 9, 2024 Posted December 9, 2024 I think $70 can be reasonable for certain games, but it really depends on the quality, content, and effort put into the game. If it's a massive, polished game with no microtransactions, $70 feels justified. But for games with less content or monetization schemes like pay-to-win or heavy DLC, it feels like a cash grab. A tiered pricing system based on the scope of the game might work better.
Heatman Posted December 10, 2024 Posted December 10, 2024 There's no way to fix a standard cost of games before it's production. Everything is based on what it took to develop the game and this differs from team to team and game to game.
