StaceyPowers Posted November 23, 2022 Posted November 23, 2022 What are some of the most tragic side quests ever in video games? There are a number of them in the RDR games, I think (especially Birth of the Conservation Movement). Another that springs to mind is the Shepherding Wolves quest in Dragon Age II.
Empire Posted November 24, 2022 Posted November 24, 2022 Cant pinpoint this, so I'll make an example of it. Borderlands Pre-Sequel, building Felicity, Calibrating the lasers. They stay really weak no matter what playthrough, and they have to get 12 kills while you get battered around cause you're not supposed to kill any. And it chucks beefy enemies at you too.
Justin11 Posted November 25, 2022 Posted November 25, 2022 I haven't played any tragic side quests but for a main story the death of author in RDR2. Looking to find more open world games I would get my hands on.
Scorpion Posted November 1, 2024 Posted November 1, 2024 Great examples! The tragic side quests really elevate the storytelling. I’d also add the "Atonement" quest in *The Witcher 3*.
