The Krypt isn't part of the main game in MK11, it's an exploration area I think in the Netherrealm where you are in third person and unlock chests to get new fatalities and skins for your characters in the game. It would be cool though to have that as the actual game. But it would probably take away from the awesome cinematics the game is heavily based on.

Imagine finding hidden lore in each realm, interacting with NPCs from the different factions, and even making choices that affect alliances. It could really expand the MK universe in an exciting way.
