Co-op playing of single player games

My brother was just telling me that he and his husband usually play single player games together, handing the controller back and forth and making decisions together. Does anyone else play single player games this way?

I always want to compete against the best players, and I can only do that on a multi player mode. I am not saying that single players' games are not cool, but it doesn't give me the excitement that I desire.

When I was younger, that's how me and my big bro used to play games. Sometimes, one of us couldn't get past a certain stage and we'd give the other a turn.

That sounds like a fun way to enjoy games! My friends and I do the same, sharing controllers for co-op experiences.

I remember me and my brother completed loads of games like that including Devil May Cry, Grand Theft Auto Vice City and Ratchet & Clank.
