Games other people find bleak that you find hopeful?

Are there any games other people broadly seem to find bleak or depressing that you found hopeful or uplifting?

Harrypotter. I am a fan of the books and movies, but the reviews I have been getting about the games are not encouraging. I will have a say when I play it myself. But I am hopeful.

I found *The Last of Us* hopeful despite its bleak world. The bond between characters really felt uplifting to me.

I'd say The Last of Us comes to mind. While it's definitely heavy and bleak on the surface, especially with the post-apocalyptic setting, the relationship between Joel and Ellie gave me a lot of hope. It shows how love and connection can grow even in the darkest times.
