Kane99 Posted September 13, 2024 Posted September 13, 2024 Yars Rising is a new game from Wayforward, and is part of the Yars' Revenge series which started on Atari. Funny enough, Atari published the new game. It's of course not the same Atari we grew up with, but I am happy to see this new Atari helping put out games. Anyway, this game is more of a metroidvania style game. It looks pretty cool. It just came out for PC (Steam/Epic Games), Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and the Atari VCS. Of course they were selling it on their console. I forgot that was still a thing.

killamch89 Posted September 16, 2024 Posted September 16, 2024 Yars Rising sounds like a cool continuation of a classic series! It's great to see Wayforward involved since they have a solid track record with games like Shantae. I had no idea the Atari VCS was still around either.
Button Posted September 18, 2024 Posted September 18, 2024 I've been playing Yars Rising on Steam, and I'm loving it so far. The metroidvania gameplay is so tight, and the graphics are indeed impressive.
