Bayer Leverkusen current manager is still Xabi Alonso but he's will be departing at the end of the 2024/25 season to coach Real Madrid. 

Cesc Fàbregas and the former Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag have been named as possible replacement for Xabi Alonso. 

Who do you think will be the right man to lead Bayer Leverkusen forward?

I call the attention of @Ja sa bong, @Knight Baridaand @Heatman especially, but I ask that everyone please take notice.

 

I have just locked (and may continue to lock) several threads that have recently been posted on the Sports sub-forum.  I have locked them because they discuss transfers, mostly football/soccer related.  Wether they be factual, speculative, rumours or discussion on "who should transfer whare", they can all be classed as discussion on transfers. 

 

This post is polite reminder we have this pinned thread called "The Transfers Thread" for a reason.  These threads on transfers limited to one specific sportsperson. We can't have a new thread for every player that transfers clubs, for example.  If we allowed this, the sports sub-forum would flooded with hundreds of threads that are nothing but that.  We just can't have that because if bumps down other discussions and is hoplessly impractical. 

 

Like I said, we have this thread for a reason.  It's for you as much as anyone so you can find the latest discussion on these things in one, convenient place.  Please stop posting new, individual threads on transfers.  If this continues, we will have to consider more serious action for people who keep posting such threads.

 

And to the members that I have mention, can you please like this post to indicate you have read and understood this.

I just saw this now after making I think 2 threads which is related with a transfer somehow. I've taken the notice now. Feel free to merge the thread into this if you see fit or lock it but be rest assured, I've noted your input. Thank you!

Mohamed Salah signed his new 2 years contract extension first before Van Dijk did. It was only Trent Alexander-Arnold they ended up losing to Real Madrid.

That's a question that I couldn't answer. I don't think they'd chance it with Ten Hag - they may just take a gamble on Cesc Fabregas.

I think they're set to sign Matheus Cunha who's been one of the in-form forwards in the Premier League this season. Even if Man United win the Europa League, their overspending in recent years prevents them from being able to spend too much in the upcoming transfer market.

I would say they were trying to see if they can win the Europa League which will give them Champions league football next season but unfortunately all that came crashing as Tottenham beat them 4x to win the Europa League.

If Bayer Leverkusen is looking at hiring a more experienced and successful manager, they will go with Ten Hag.

Yes, it's official. He already signed his new contract. He knew it was better to hold out and get the contract he wanted because leaving will put so much uncertainty in his path.
