Which classic PC games from your childhood do you still play today, and what keeps bringing you back to them? Is it the nostalgia, unique gameplay, or memorable characters? Share specific titles, the reasons for your enduring love, and how they hold a special place in your gaming history.

Age of Empires II remains my go-to strategy game despite being released in 1999. The Definitive Edition updates helped, but even the original captures this perfect balance of resource management, military strategy, and historical flavor that keeps me coming back decades later.

I have to concur with @killamch89 on AOE2. It's the best one in the entire series. But another one for me is Diablo II. Again, best one in the franchise.

AOE2 and 3 are two of the few PC games where I still prefer to play the original rather than the remastered editions.

I will be honest and say that I have not played any really old pc games in such a long time. I have often thought about going back and playing games such as The Secret of Monkey Island as I loved that game but have not gotten around to it.

I’ve still got Minecraft installed and have it saved on my desktop since 2013. Games has come far, but gets boring to keep on playing. A repetitive game but one that is addictive.

I still play Civilization III and Diablo II. Civilization III is a turn-based strategy game and it's still good to play despite being old school. It still has many playable features.
