Did you activate 2 factor authenticator on logins?

Recommended Posts

We have a lot of logins that we do on our devices, such as bank app logins, social media account logins, and a lot of others. Do you always activate the 2 factor authenticator when logging in to most of these accounts , or doesn't it bother you?

I make use of Authenticator to log in very important apps like bank bank apps. But I don’t need it for any other app as they do not pose much threat even if compromised.

So, in essence, you don't make use of 2FA for social media accounts, right? What happens when you have vital information stored there. Do you make some changes to secure it better or do what exactly?

2FA is essential but becomes dangerous if you don't maintain backup codes. I learned this lesson when traveling internationally without cell service - I couldn't receive authentication texts and got locked out of critical accounts. Now I keep printed backup codes in my wallet and digital copies in an encrypted file, which has saved me multiple times.
